Installing it

   Open the file

   Tap the downloaded .apk from your notification shade, or find it in your Downloads folder.

   Allow the install

   Android asks whether to allow installs from this source. That prompt appears because the app did not come from the Play Store — allow it for your browser.

   Sign in

   Tap Install, open Cadence, and sign in with your phone number and the 6-digit PIN you were sent. You will then choose your own password.

   Wait for approval, if asked

   The first time you sign in on a phone, your employer may need to approve it before you can punch in. You will see a message saying so. Once it is approved, sign in again.

If it will not install

“App not installed”

A copy of Cadence signed with a different key is already on the phone. Uninstall it first, then install this one. Your data is on the server, so nothing is lost.

A Play Protect warning

Expected — Google has not scanned this file because it did not come from the Play Store. Choose “Install anyway” if you trust the source, which here is your own company.

“Can’t open file” or “corrupt”

The download did not finish. Delete the .apk and download it again on a stable connection; you can confirm it with the SHA-256 above.
